Todd Nelson
For nearly twenty years, I have been involved in all aspects of boating as a business. Back in 1992, I never dreamed that a job after college at Minnetonka Boatworks for the summer could develop into a career that includes owning my own business, Todd Nelson Services. I consider it an enormous blessing to be able to earn a living doing what I love. This includes being a part of the Prouty Team! It has been a privilege to work with Jeff and to help bring his vision for Think Tank II into reality…and out on to the lake with hundreds of Prouty associates over the years!

I grew up on a lake and have always loved all water sports. The first thing I want to do after a busy summer weekend is to get back out onto the water with my wife and three boys, ages 12, 10 and 6 years old. They are already talking about working for me someday!

Troy Nelson
I started T.J. Nelson Enterprises in 2001 to legitimize my love for boating, and I’ve been fortunate to turn that passion into a business. I have lived on or near water my entire life and love every aspect of boating. I have been a captain on Lake Minnetonka for over 20 years, and during that time of caring for other individuals’ boating needs, I have acquired a lot of knowledge of the lake and the people living on it. Being an associate of the Prouty Project has allowed me to share my knowledge with others; I enjoy providing a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for their guests while on Think Tank II.

“As I assumed my new position, I quickly realized that the company was being managed as an autonomous, decentralized organization without an overall strategic vision. I needed a firm to help me capitalize on all of the ideas within the organization and to gain buy-in for an over arching strategic plan. The first company that came to mind was the Prouty Project. They had helped me in the past with excellent results."
