ABOUT THE SESSION
Empirical research and analysis of tens of thousands of leaders reveal that the single most impactful leadership competency is "inspires and motivates to high performance." Subordinates crave it more than any other quality in their leader, and have been proven to drive for results more intensely when they are inspired.
In this session, you'll learn what leaders must do in order to inspire a team, and will understand the six elements that combine to create the outcome of inspiration. This session will enable leaders to motivate their teams by decoding the mystery of how leaders inspire those who they work with.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Scott Edinger is Executive Vice President at Zenger Folkman where he consults with Fortune 500 companies to initiate and implement large-scale performance improvement and leadership initiatives. Each year he works with hundreds of leaders to develop leadership talent and address the challenges of organizational change. Scott is recognized as an expert in helping organizations achieve measurable business results.He defines and refines Zenger Folkman's business and leadership strategies and does the same for the clients with whom he works. As an ambassador for the company, he is a popular keynote speaker at national conferences, and has extensive experience working with some of the most prominent organizations in the world including AT&T, Harvard Business School, Bank of America, Gannett and The LA Times.
Having worked at one of the "Big Four" professional services firms, as well as various prominent training and consulting firms, Scott has extensive leadership, business development, consulting, coaching and training experience. Moreover, as a result of having worked in this field in a variety of capacities (buyer, seller and executive), Scott's experience is comprehensive and multi-dimensional.
Scott attended Florida State University where he received a B.S. in Rhetoric and Communication. As a result of his desire to "give back" to the FSU community, today Scott serves on various alumni committees including the Board of the College of Communication. He also serves on the Board of Directors for The Florida Health Choices Corporation.
Scott is a co-author of The Inspiring Leader, Unlocking the Secrets of How Extraordinary Leaders Motivate (McGraw-Hill 2009). He also has contributed to publications such as Leadership Excellence and Sales and Marketing Management. He is the co-author of several white papers including How Extraordinary Leaders Double Profits.
Scott and his family reside in Tampa, Florida.
