#148 "Bad Bosses Are A Public Health Issue"

Date: Jun 1, 2010
Details:

ABOUT THE SESSION

As a culture, we've come to believe that secondhand smoke and domestic violence are unhealthy and unacceptable. It's time to raise public consciousness about the damage caused by command-and-control managers. They hurt people, and they hurt business - especially when market conditions are volatile. And, ironically, those throwback managers would be healthier and happier themselves if they learned a new way.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Monica Moses coaches executives on transformational leadership, communication, and organizational change through her company, Zumo Consulting. Before going out on her own, Monica led big departments and change initiatives at the Star Tribune and other media companies. She taught leadership and communication at the world's premier training institute for mid-career media professionals for four years. In 2006, she judged the Pulitzer Prize, won six international honors for the Star Tribune redesign, moderated the Women's Lecture Series at Orchestra Hall and was named one of 25 "Women to Watch" by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“I've had several operating companies from Otter Tail work with the Prouty Project over the past few years. Each time, the Prouty process led us to more frank, open, and direct discussions on our company's strategy in a much more concise and efficient manner than we could ever do on our own."
